Police Recruitment Interview
Got your Police Interview? The final hurdle?
Stand out candidate at Interview? Isn’t that what everyone wants to be? How we prepare for interviews is paramount. Sometimes we can do a lot of preparation…but it’s the wrong preparation.
Week of two halves
This week has been a week of two halves.
At Careers In Blue, we’ve got a lot of clients preparing for interview. We’ve done a lot of Mock Interviews this week, which are the best thing you can do before an interview – as long as your preparation is sound and you’ve done the right things.
I’ve had a couple of new clients come to us this week at final interview stage, just wanting mock interviews, not prepared to do our Interview Course. Both adamant they are well prepared, both adamant all they need is to practice questions, both not great during mock interviews..
In contrast, I’ve also had clients that have been with us for some time, from either National Sift or Online Assessment stage. They’ve done our Interview Course and now doing Mock Interviews. They were fab! Well prepared, done the right homework and it shone during their mock interviews.
A little constructive feedback to steer them even more in the right direction, they will be what everyone wants to be – stand out clients on the day. Another client actually got comments in the interview such “She’s the first person to say this,” and “You’ve hit the nail on the head there.” Still waiting for the official result but I’m in no doubt what it will be.
